While visiting my daughter in Connecticut, I was awed by all the greenery surrounding the streets and highways. Surely there were some hidden away places for crowd-free vacations here.
"Are there any secluded getaways behind all those trees and foliage?" I asked my daughter. She looked wistful as she explained that behind all of those trees are many houses and stores. And I thought we were out in the country! She lamented that all the towns run together, leaving little open space for some peace and quiet, let alone a crowd-free getaway.
The world is a busy place with so many people going, doing, and being. The best way to calm the noise around you and the noise in your head is to escape to a place where there are few people.
That's why my husband and I have spent many hours, days and weeks looking for getaways to escape from the crowds of people - where we can forget the hustle and bustle of life and just let our minds wander and dream.
