Snowbird for The Day

Snowbird trail

Some of my fondest memories were taking our trailer up to Albion Basin Campground (Utah). We would find a good spot where two trailers would fit, stay the night and get up about noon and go down to Snowbird. We would ride the tram up to the top and then spend the day walking down the service road. It took about 3 hours. We always had a great time.

One time we decided to take a shortcut and get off the road. Needless to say we ended up beating the thick brush and it took us a lot longer to get down. Some shortcut.

By the time we reached the bottom our feet were killing us so we sat by the river and soaked our feet in the cold water.

After that we would go to a place in the Snowbird Lodge called the Steak Pit and have a wonderful dinner as we watched the little creatures through the floor to ceiling windows.

We were exhausted by that time so we would go back up to our trailers and play cards until all hours of the night. It was great fun!
