Timeshare Vacations Take You Anywhere
Imagine sitting quietly in a bubbling mineral hot spring, surrounded by cavernous red rocks, an endless expanse of blue sky, and absolutely nothing else.
Envision a green golf course dotted with flowering bushes, towering trees and a cool ocean breeze blowing off a nearby shore. Everyone deserves the kind of relaxing, rejuvenating escape that comes from reveling in the solitude of nature. But getting away every year can prove expensive, especially if you're looking for the kind of luxurious, comfortable accommodations that will perfectly complement your relaxation goals.
Go Anywhere With a Timeshare One alternative to paying for nightly accommodations at a hotel or motel is to buy a timeshare in a destination that you know you love. A vacation property won't tie you down to this one locale, but it will make it available for your use on an annual or biennial basis, often for a fraction of what you might pay for lodgings on a long-term basis. Timeshares come in all shapes and sizes, from a slope-side chalet in Colorado to campground memberships that will take you all over the country. These vacation properties can accommodate all types of vacationers.
They are Flexible and Tradable Many people mistakenly think that a timeshare purchase will limit their vacation possibilities . . .

. . . but in fact, the opposite is true.
Places like Arizona, New Hampshire, California and Alaska are virtual havens for outdoor enthusiasts looking for an opportunity to "get away from it all". And with a vacation property, it's easy to trade time at your home resort (the resort that is contracted or deeded to you) for time at one of thousands of resorts all over the country and beyond. That means that your California timeshare, for example, can easily and smoothly take you all over the country.
Work With a Vacation Club There are a couple of options for using a vacation property to travel to some of the country's most relaxing places. You could choose to purchase a timeshare within a vacation club like Wyndham, Hyatt or Hilton. Generally, ownership at one of their resorts will grant access to all of them. If, for example you buy a Wyndham timeshare in Colorado, you could use your membership with the resort chain to travel to their Hawaii, New Mexico and California locations. This method works well if you are looking to secure a certain level of quality on your trips, but it's important to note that vacation clubs are often more expensive than other timeshares. And while many offer remote locations, many are also often situated in popular destinations. That's not to say you won't be able to escape the crowds at a vacation club timeshare, but you will have to do some research to determine which properties to visit.
Or Choose an Exchange Company The other common method of traveling with a vacation property is to purchase membership with an exchange company like RCI or Interval International. These corporations are not timeshares. Rather, they act as supplements to your vacation property purchase by allowing you to trade your time at your affiliated resort for time at one of thousands of resorts in their expansive network. An RCI timeshare in Missouri, for example, can be traded for one in Alaska, so long as both properties are affiliated with the exchange company. If securing relaxing getaways on an annual or biennial basis is one of your long-term goals, a timeshare can help you get there.
